Situated on 3,000 acres of pristine Iowa farmland, Heritage 1865 offers first-class pheasant hunting for individuals and corporate groups. The lodge enlists five experienced guides and a number of German shorthaired pointers to accompany hunting parties in the field. The guides will cater to each guest’s needs—whether the hunter is a beginner or a very experienced wingshooter.
Heritage 1865 is a full-service lodge that works tirelessly to ensure that visitors can completely relax. The 12,000-square-foot lodge boasts comfortable rooms and shared spaces. Amenities such as a complimentary airport shuttle and bird processing are included, and all meals are cooked by the lodge’s chef from family recipes. (Menu favorites include eggs Benedict and sous vide steak with Brussels sprouts and baked potatoes.)
