SouthWind Plantation keeps approximately 200 gundogs in its state-of-the-art kennel, with the most prominent breeds being pointers and English cockers. Wingshooters can enter the field confidently each day alongside well-trained, field-ready dogs and one of SouthWind’s 26 expert guides.
SouthWind offers a choice of hunting quail by mule-drawn wagons or Land Rovers. Other options include duck, dove and Continental pheasant shoots.
Since 1994, SouthWind Plantation has grown from 184 acres to 6,100 acres and to include 12 modern hunting lodges. Every lodge has a charming character all its own and offers guests luxury sleeping arrangements, an outdoor firepit, satellite televisions and a private wet bar.
In addition to its unsurpassed quail hunting and well-appointed accommodations, SouthWind has a fabulous event space for weddings, holiday parties, nonprofit gatherings, corporate retreats and more.
